Ford Settlement Final
If you are a current or former owner or lessee of a 2011-2015 Ford Explorer, and experienced exhaust or an exhaust odor entering the passenger cabin of your vehicle, you may be entitled to certain rights and benefits. Jordan Lewis, P.A. and my colleagues at Kelley/Uustal serve as class counsel for a class of current and former owners and lessees of 2011-2015 Ford Explorer vehicles, in the case of Sanchez-Knutson v. Ford Motor Company. In that case, the class sued Ford alleging 2011-2015 Ford Explorers were defectively designed and manufactured so that exhaust and an exhaust odor may enter the passenger cabin while those vehicles were being driven.
The case later settled. The settlement became effective in October 2018, following court approval and a lengthy appeal. As part of the settlement, class members may be entitled to certain reimbursements, vehicle repairs and other rights and benefits. There are various deadlines that may affect class members’ rights and benefits.
Detailed information about the settlement, all rights and benefits of class members, deadlines and submission requirements may be found at the settlement website. If you are, or believe you may be, a class member, or you are otherwise interested in learning more about the case and the settlement, review the settlement website at the link here: http://explorerexhaustsettlement.com.
