Class Action Litigation
My original focus was health care litigation, and that remains one of my primary interests. I have also litigated, and am interested in, unfair business and commercial practices, unfair debt collection practices, breach of contract, and claims involving insurance coverage for drug, alcohol and mental illness, and claims involving insurance coverage for autism treatment. Over the last two years, I was primary lead counsel in a national case against Ford Motor Company concerning claims that one of its models leaked exhaust into the passenger cabin. That case tentatively settled on a national basis three days before trial and will enable hundreds of thousands of persons around the country to get their vehicles fixed, at a reduced and for some at no cost. Over the last 20 years, cases in which I have acted either as lead or supporting counsel have returned more than $100 million to class members.
